HEInnovate at EAIE 2025: Building Connections and Showcasing Impact

From 10 to 12 September 2025, HEInnovate took part in the EAIE Conference in Gothenburg, one of the largest gatherings of higher education professionals in Europe. The event offered a valuable opportunity to engage directly with universities, alliances, and national agencies, while raising awareness of HEInnovate as a key European Commission initiative.

At the European Commission stand, the HEInnovate team welcomed a steady flow of visitors with action cards, brochures, and live demonstrations of the tool. These exchanges provided new insights into what higher education institutions are seeking: clear examples of how HEInnovate can support their development and foster institutional change. By focusing on outcomes and benefits, rather than technical details, the team was able to sharpen its message and inspire interest in future collaborations.

The team also organised two interactive “mini sessions”. One featured Mona Roman from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, who presented the U!reka alliance’s experience with HEInnovate, while the other shared testimonials from users across Europe. Both sessions highlighted the tool’s flexibility and its potential to drive strategic reflection and innovation.

HEInnovate’s participation in EAIE 2025 significantly strengthened its visibility, built new partnerships, and deepened understanding of user needs. The connections made in Gothenburg will now feed into upcoming workshops, collaborations, and further opportunities to support higher education institutions across Europe.

We warmly thank everyone who visited the stand and joined the discussions, your insights and engagement are essential to shaping the future of HEInnovate
