Dr. Mona Roman is a Research Director at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, Finland and a Lead Coordinator for U!REKA European University Alliance with 30 partners. She received her DSc. in Industrial Engineering and Management at Aalto University (2009). Over the years, she has been teaching market research, strategy, organisational behaviour and employee well-being and leadership. During the last four years, she has acted as a Guest Lecturer in EIT Digital Master’s program at Aalto University. Mona’s PostDoc research focuses on innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystems, innovation strategies and the public engagement in R&I. She recently acted as Expert for the Mutual Learning Exercise on public engagement in research and innovation, initiated by European Commission, DG Research and Innovation. Mona has over 30 scientific international peer-reviewed publications and extensive experience on European R&I projects (H2020, Horizon Europe). Before joining the academia, Mona has over 10 years industrial experience from the telecommunications sector.
