Registration opens for the next in-person HEInnovate Train the Trainers session

We are happy to announce that we will hold a two-day long physical training session in May 2024 to provide information and advice on how to make the most of HEInnovate. The training is run in cooperation with the European Commission.

The training session is aimed at participants who are interested in learning how to use HEInnovate in their organisation to enhance their institution’s entrepreneurial and innovative activities.

The training is based on the HEInnovate training materials and it is designed for staff from higher education institutions. The two days will also offer the possibility of international networking with like-minded people.

The main focus of the session will be to equip participants with information, tools and techniques to help maximise the use of HEInnovate in practice. By the end of the training session, participants will:

  • Understand the role HEInnovate can play in developing their institutions’ innovative and entrepreneurial potential
  • Be confident to carry out their own HEInnovate assessments in group supported by group discussions and workshops
  • Be aware of the variety of supporting materials and initiatives available and understand how to make the most of them
  • Learn how to use the HEInnovate action cards for action planning

The training session will be run by four HEInnovate experts: Zsuzsa Javorka and Rebecca Allinson from Technopolis Group, two individual experts: Mikkel Trym and Steve Stevens.

The training will take place across two days in Brussels, on Thursday and Friday, the 23rd – 24th May 2024. Participation is free in the training session and for the selected participants travel and accommodation from within Europe will be provided.

Please note, that if you have already participated in one of our past training sessions, we cannot offer you a place on this training again to ensure that other colleagues can benefit from the training as well.

Participation in the training requires registration as we have limited places available. Please register your interest in participating at the link below:

The deadline for registration is the 5th April 2024 and we will contact selected applicants during the week of the 8th April with further information and arrangements.

If you have any questions about the training, please contact Zsuzsa Javorka at
