Barcelona, 25 June 2025 – Set against the vibrant backdrop of Barcelona’s innovation ecosystem, the first CEI Study Visit of 2025 took place on 18–19 June, focusing on Entrepreneurial Skills and Mindsets in Education: From Ideas to Action. Hosted by the Centre for Funding and Innovation (CFI-Barcelona) at La Salle – Ramon Llull University, the visit brought together educators, policy-makers, and innovation leaders from 12 EU countries for two days of hands-on learning and peer exchange.
The programme explored how entrepreneurial thinking can be meaningfully embedded in education systems. Through keynotes, peer-led presentations, co-design workshops, and on-site visits, participants engaged in practical dialogue aimed at translating ideas into action.
Bridging Systems and Practice
The agenda featured a series of interactive sessions and real-world case studies, including:
✅ Keynotes on integrating entrepreneurial skills at the system level
✅ Case studies showcasing good practices from participating institutions
✅ Workshops to co-design collaborative project proposals
✅ A guided visit to La Salle Technova Barcelona and the Interactive Arts & Science Laboratory (IASlab), highlighting links between academia, industry, and policy
The visit reinforced how entrepreneurial education can connect institutions, sectors, and countries, supporting innovation, sustainability, and long-term impact.
Community Reflections
Participants shared their impressions on LinkedIn and beyond, underscoring the value of the experience:
“The real highlight of this trip was meeting so many amazing people... These connections go way beyond the trip and truly strengthen the cross-border collaboration.” – Malva Envall, Helsinki Education Hub
“Fantastic discussions on advancing entrepreneurial education... inspired by the exchange with educators, business representatives, and innovation leaders.” – Luca Baraldi, Università degli Studi di Torino
“A great opportunity for practitioners working in challenging environments to learn from different realities and exchange good practices.” – Sintija Bernava, NGO Donum Animus
These reflections highlight a core CEI value: peer learning and shared insight are essential to driving change at both institutional and system levels.
Looking Ahead
As with all CEI initiatives, the Barcelona study visit is part of a broader journey. A summary of insights, practices, and project ideas will be shared with the CEI and HEInnovate communities, ensuring follow-up, supporting collaboration, and extending the visit’s impact.
