The HEI's entrepreneurial agenda contributes to global and social cohesion, mitigation of climate change and the HEI carbon neutrality

The internationalisation of higher education is both a response to and an enhancer of globalisation. Given their unique position as global centres of learning and research, and their key role in developing the leaders of the future, the internationalised entrepreneurial higher education institution, has a pivotal role to play in addressing the global, societal, economic and environmental challenges that the world faces.

To achieve this, entrepreneurial higher education institutions should explicitly set out how their international, as well as learning, teaching and research policies, in addition to their entrepreneurial agenda, will actively address these challenges.

In turn, this approach will help to provide higher education institutions with the opportunity to extend the impact of their education, research and knowledge exchange activities, and enable them to further support global, social and territorial cohesion. By for example, including environmental targets, including those related to carbon neutrality, higher education institutions can ensure that their entrepreneurial and innovation activities, create solutions to these and other global challenges.
