HEInnovate webinar - Deep Tech in Higher Education

This month’s HEInnovate webinar “Deep Tech in Higher Education” will take place on Thursday, the 27th April at 5pm CEST.

In this webinar we will explore the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative (https://eit.europa.eu/our-activities/deep-tech-talent-initiative) as well as the Pledge for Deep Tech Talents (https://www.eitdeeptechtalent.eu/the-pledge/join-the-pledge/) through which partners and interested organisations can contribute to the initiative’s objective. We will hold this webinar on Teams, and we hope for active participation with questions and comments from the participants.

The webinar will be moderated by Zsuzsa Jávorka, Partner at Technopolis Group and it will engage:

  • Marian Belko, Head of Entrepreneurship Education Section at the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT), the EU’s agency supporting innovation across Europe. Marian is in charge of the education agenda and the key EIT’s initiatives supporting innovation and entrepreneurship education. He has a PhD from the University of Brno and has dedicated his entire professional career to higher education, strategic management, international cooperation and relations with business partners. He also has experience as a university lecturer and has contributed to numerous international initiatives and research projects
  • Michał Dżoga, Poland Country Manager at Intel. Michael is an economist who worked as Advisor to the President Poland and to the CEO of Polish Telecom, leading country-wide digital transformation programmes in education. He has created and led the most prominent corporate foundation in Poland – Polish Telecom Foundation, known today as the Orange Foundation. Connecting all K12 schools to broadband Internet, digital innovation grants for the country's rural districts have become widely recognised digitalisation programmes, awarded by UNDP and other international bodies. At Intel Corporation, he shaped government and international institutions’ regional partnership strategy in Europe, Middle East and Africa
