Background:

With a background in Law (University of Lisbon), a Master’s in Creative Industries Management (Portuguese Catholic University – Porto), and currently pursuing a PhD in Management with a focus on Strategy and Organisational Development (ISCTE-IUL), I bring a multidisciplinary approach to leadership in higher education. My professional journey began as a legal adviser and lawyer for both public and private institutions, including nearly a decade advising the Portuguese Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education.

Since 2009, I have been actively engaged in the higher education sector, working across strategic development, institutional governance, quality assurance, compliance, communication, media relations, digital transformation, inclusion and diversity, community engagement, and social responsibility. I have served as a key liaison with government bodies and institutional partners, and led numerous cross-sector projects.

From 2013 to 2019, I served as Secretary-General of ISEC Lisboa, and from 2019 to March 2025 as Vice-President. I have also coordinated the institution’s strategic partnership platform, the Know Now Know How Network, since its inception in 2016. On 21 March 2025, I assumed the role of President of ISEC Lisboa, committed to advancing innovation, inclusion and sustainability in higher education.
