Dr. ir. Peter Joore is professor of applied sciences and chair of the Open Innovation Research group at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences, Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. NHL Stenden is founding partner of RUN-EU, an alliance of eight higher education institutions from all regions of Europe, together forming a regional development-oriented European University, established in 2020 under the European Universities Initiative. In all his work, his main aim is the realization of a smart, sustainable, inclusive society. His research focuses on the relationship between long-term societal transition processes on the one hand, and short-term product and service innovations on the other. He holds a PhD from Delft University of Technology, where he is still a visiting researcher at the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering.
