
Marian Holienka is a professor of entrepreneurship and the Head of the Department of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. He supervises the undergraduate and graduate entrepreneurship study programmes that he helped design, develop, and implement. Additionally, he has co-developed and co-delivered several innovative academic courses on entrepreneurship that address entrepreneurial mindsets, skills, competencies, and intergenerational entrepreneurship. He is a founding member of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) team in Slovakia, the country team leader of the GUESSS (Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students’ Survey) project, and a team member of several other research projects in the field of entrepreneurship. He has published numerous papers and co-authored several scientific monographs on entrepreneurship from various perspectives, including student entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship education, and entrepreneurial ecosystems. He is also active as a trainer and mentor, working with potential and nascent entrepreneurs.
