Juliana Vassileva
Background:

Juliana Vassileva is an Associate Professor at New Bulgarian University (NBU) in Sofia, where she teaches and researches entrepreneurship, innovation, competitiveness, digital transformation, and the application of AI in business. She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from NBU, a Master’s in Management Sciences from HEC Liège, and a Master’s in International Economic Relations from The University of National and World Economy (UNWE). 

With nearly 30 years of experience across academia, the public and private sectors, and international development projects, she bridges academic insight and practical application in fostering entrepreneurial thinking and ecosystems. She is the author of the book “Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Artificial Intelligence in Bulgaria – Dynamics and Management” (2022) and over 60 academic publications. 

Juliana brings extensive expertise in areas such as entrepreneurial education, supporting young entrepreneurs, digital transformation, ecosystem building, and internationalisation of higher education. She is actively engaged in EU-funded initiatives, cross-border collaboration, and student mobility projects. 

She is passionate about unlocking the potential of universities to act as engines of innovation, openness, and positive societal change.
