Hannes Raffaseder is CEO/President of the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences and co-founder and President of E³UDRES², the Engaged and Entrepreneurial European University as Driver for European Smart and Sustainable Regions. In June 2023 he was elected President of EURASHE, the European Association for Applied Sciences in Higher Education. He was founding director of the Institute for Creative\Media/Technologies and director of a master's program in digital media technology. 

As an experienced manager in higher education, Hannes promotes an opportunity-driven and impact-oriented culture. He has successfully co-implemented concepts for engaged and entrepreneurial universities as platforms for collaborative innovation with multidirectional multi-stakeholder approaches. Joint results and experiences have been published in several articles and scientific papers. In recent years, he has been frequently invited as a keynote speaker and panelist at various high-level conferences and workshops. 

As a professor of media technology, Hannes has many years of teaching experience, led several research and innovation projects, and published academic papers in the contexts of audio design, media music, and sound interaction.

In addition to his academic work, Hannes is an internationally active, award-winning composer and media artist whose music has been performed in renowned concert halls and art festivals.
