
Dr Christophe Haunold leads the central office for partnerships, knowledge, and technology transfer at the University of Luxembourg. He is the immediate past president of ASTP, the foremost pan-European association for Knowledge Transfer. Until May 2020, Christophe served as the Director of the Tech Transfer Office (TTO) at the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse and was the General Manager at Toulouse Tech Transfer, a company dedicated to accelerating technology transfer in French public research. As Director of the Technology Transfer Office at the Federal University of Toulouse, he was instrumental in developing the SATT blueprint in 2012. Between 2011 and 2014, he presided over the C.U.R.I.E network, the French association for public research valorisation. Dr Haunold earned his degree in Chemical Engineering in 1987 and obtained a PhD from INP Toulouse in 1991. With 30 years of experience in industrial liaison and public research commercialisation, he has worked as an expert, director, and Technology Transfer Officer. He is a recognized evaluator of public policies and schemes dedicated to public research and intellectual property commercialisation, serving as an expert for the European Commission, the World Bank Group, patent offices, ministries, and various innovation entities. His work has involved international missions throughout Europe, Africa, Turkey, and numerous exchanges with Asia and North America.
