Charlotte Norrman
Background:

Charlotte Norrman currently serves as a senior associate professor at the Department of Management and Engineering at Linköping University (LiU). She began her career in entrepreneurship working at supporting organisations such as a chamber of commerce and a science park. She obtained her PhD in 2008, focusing her research on entrepreneurship policy and early-stage venturing. Her most cited paper examines incubators, and she has spent several years researching innovation and entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector. Currently, her research concentrates on scaling up SMEs.

Charlotte has been teaching hands-on entrepreneurship for 20 years and is a pioneer in using challenge-based learning as a pedagogical approach. Her pedagogical interests have led her to conferences such as CDIO and SEFI, where she has shared her findings. Over the past year, she has engaged as a Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) expert at ECIU@LiU. She has also participated in the successful EIT HEI project BOOGIE-U, as well as in Erasmus projects like the ongoing JUMP project, which aims to streamline the ECIU offerings of learning opportunities. 

In addition to this, Charlotte works part-time at LiU Innovation as a business coach for researchers and PhD students striving to valorise their ideas. She provides business counselling and conducts a practically oriented PhD course in entrepreneurship and idea valorisation.
