
Bernhard Weber is the Managing Director of ZWI – Centre for Knowledge and Innovation Transfer GmbH (Unicorn Start-up & Innovation Hub) in Graz, Austria, a position he has held since 2016. He oversees the strategic direction, establishment, and operation of the hub. Since 2019, he has also served as the Head of the university course "Digital Innovation Modelling" at Uni for Life GmbH and is responsible for connecting local ecosystems within the European Universities alliance "Arqus" at the University of Graz. Bernhard possesses extensive experience in supporting start-ups, having mentored and advised over 400 since 2006. Previously, he was the Managing Director at Science Park Graz GmbH, a deep tech incubator owned by universities in Graz. In this capacity, he led major applications and secured funding for deep tech acceleration programmes, including the ESA Business Incubation Centre (ESA BIC) and the national AplusB Scale-up programme. His earlier career encompassed roles at Evolaris Private Foundation and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Bernhard holds a degree in Environmental Systems Sciences with a focus on Business Administration from the University of Graz and a diploma from HTL Graz-Gösting in Communications Technology.
