
Professor Dr. Bernhard Kölmel is an expert in technology, digital transformation, and innovation management, focusing on converging technologies like cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). His career blends extensive academic work with practical experience in industry, consulting, and research.
After studies and a PhD at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), he held leading positions in a software company, driving innovation integration and culture. Since 2012, he's been a professor at Pforzheim University, involved in accreditation and the Institute for Smart Systems and Services, researching sustainable management and technology.
Prof. Kölmel also holds professorships at International School of Management (ISM) Paris and New York, and is a visiting professor at Texas State University, with past experience in Silicon Valley.
