ZOOM video conference (click here to register)
Since 2013, HEInnovate, a joint initiative of the European Commission and OECD has been supporting individual higher education institutions and higher education systems to assess and develop their innovative and entrepreneurial potential, as foreseen under the European Strategy for Universities.
This hour-long HEInnovate online webinar will take place on Thursday, the 19th of September 2024 at 5pm CEST. It will engage representatives from The Russell Group of Universities, the European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD), and the University of Education Salzburg Stefan Zweig to explore how innovation can be used to address equity gaps and promote diversity and inclusion in higher education.
This webinar will focus on innovative approaches to expand access to higher education for students from underrepresented groups. Speakers will describe the wider policy environment in which their interventions work. The topic is closely linked to HEInnovate, as a core theme throughout the self-assessment is addressing the need to ensure sustainable and inclusive teaching, learning, innovation, and entrepreneurship at higher education institutions. Innovation plays an important role in promoting equitable access to higher education, opening doors to new methods of including diverse student groups underrepresented in higher education.
