HEInnovate for the Earth Day: Knowledge exchange and collaboration for sustainable development
The second webinar of the HEInnovate series will take place on April 22nd 2021 at 5pm CEST. To celebrate Earth Day, we will present initiatives based on knowledge exchange that have contributed towards a Green transition in Higher Education, with a specific focus on the importance of collaborations between universities and enterprises.
The discussion, moderated by Rebecca Allinson, Managing Partner from Technopolis Group, will engage four speakers:
- Dr Darren Reidy, Acting Sustainability Officer at Cork University College in Ireland will explain their institutional sustainability strategy, providing examples of implementation that have resulted in Cork being voted one of the greenest campus in the world
- Johanna Bernhardt, Researcher and Consultant at the Terra Institute in the Euroregion Tyrol, Italy, will present knowledge exchange practices for sustainable development implemented in their Erasmus+ funded Knowledge Alliance projects
- Two finalists of the online student entrepreneurship game of the EIT InnoEnergy KIC ‘The Battle of Green Talent’. Laura Laringe, MSc student in Energy engineering at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and at Stockholm University will describe her winning idea for a start-up about more sustainable energy solutions. Felix Hübner, MBA student at the Grenoble École de Management, had the role of ‘investor’ in the game and will give insights about the value that participation in the game brought to him.
We look forward to welcoming you on April 22nd at 5pm CET for our next HEInnovate webinar.
