On the 25th March we launch a new series of the HEInnovate webinars. The series consists of seven webinars planned for 2021, usually taking place at 5pm CET on the last Thursday of the month. The webinars will engage invited speakers in discussions and experience sharing around topics of relevance to the current discourse in the field of higher education, with a special focus on innovation and entreprenurship. Each of the webinars will have a dedicated theme starting with Digital transformation (25th March), followed by the Green transition and innovation (22nd April). We always welcome suggestions for topics to be discussed.
The speakers of the first webinar, Boosting the digital transformation in Higher Education Institutions, will start by setting the scene with the policy context and content of the Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027, and the recently revised Digital Transformation and Capability dimension of HEInnovate. In addition, the webinar will shed light to the recent results of a large scale European survey on digital teaching and learning in Europe and present institutional approaches from Ireland.
The discussion will be moderated by Rebecca Allinson, a Managing Partner at Technopolis Group and will engage:
- Georgi Dimitrov, Head of the Unit on Digital Education and Veronica Mobilio, Policy Officer at EC DG Education, Youth, Sport and Culture
- Michael Gaebel, Director of the Higher Education Policy Unit of the European University Association (EUA). EUA is part of the DIGI HE project co-funded by the European Commission, which aims at supporting strategic reflection on digitally enhanced learning at European higher education institutions
- Sharon Flynn, Project Manager for Enhancing Digital Capacity in Teaching and Learning in Irish Universities, a three-year project funded through the Irish Higher Education Authority Innovation and Transformation Programme
We look forward to welcoming you at the webinar at 5pm CET on Thursday, the 25th March.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
