Student innovation and entrepreneurship in the spotlight - HEInnovate webinar series

The penultimate webinar in our Autumn series focuses on student entrepreneurship. We invited students as well as representatives of HEIs and international organisations to share their work and experiences with fostering student entrepreneurship and innovation. 

The hour-long webinar will take place on Thursday, the 3rd December at 5pm CET. 

The discussion will be moderated by Rebecca Allinson, Managing Partner at Technopolis Group and will engage:

  • Cristina Santini, Associate Professor at the Università San Raffaele in Rome, Italy. Cristina researches topics of entrepreneurship and sustainability, strategic management with a focus on the agribusiness sector and entrepreneurship in small and medium enterprises. Among others, she will share her experiences with the recent student competitions they have been running  
  • Denzel Basso, an MA student in Management Engineering, and he is also the Secretary General of Junior Enterprises Europe. Junior Enterprises engages a network of over 33.000 students across 356 student-run organisations in Europe.  Denzel will talk about their experiences and plans of ‘How Junior Entrepreneurs are shaping the future’
  • Prof. Frank Gielen, Professor of software technology entrepreneurship at the University of Ghent and the Education Director at the EIT InnoEnergy. Frank has extensive experience with R&D in the telecommunication and software technology sector as well as in raising venture capital, university-industry collaborative research and spin-off creation. In his contribution Frank will share his broad experience with student entrepreneurship and innovation with a focus on the Battle of Green Talents
