Pedro has significant experience in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, including teaching and management roles played at the University of Coimbra, after having completed his PhD at MIT. He has participated in several HEInnovate Expert Meetings, workshops and was strongly involved in the HEInnovate Country Review conducted for Poland.

Having over 20 years of experience in teaching Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Science Based Entrepreneurship, he was also the Vice-Rector of the University of Coimbra in charge of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, as well as advisor to the President of Portugal for Higher Education and Member of Parliament. In addition, he has founded and nurtured the creation of several start-ups and organisations. He is the author of a textbook in Portuguese about Entrepreneurship, which is now in its third edition.
