Over the past years, we have run a number of interactive training sessions on HEInnovate. This year, we are unable to run this training in person, therefore, we are taking it online. We have devised a tailored programme on how to make the most of HEInnovate. The training will provide information, ideas and advice on how to use the self-assessment, its functions and the available learning materials.

The training session will take place online, through Zoom. It is a training course that is designed to be interactive with a lot of engagement from the participants, making use of break out rooms and with the support of facilitators.

The six-hour long training session will be run across two afternoons:

Day 1 – Thursday, the 26th November between 14:00-18:00 CET 

Day 2 – Friday, the 27th November between 14:00-16:00 CET

Participation is free, but registration is required. Please register your interest to participate by the 20th November, and we will notify selected participants by the 24th November with further details about the training.

The training session is aimed at participants who are interested in learning how to use HEInnovate in their organisation to advance their institution’s innovative and entrepreneurial nature. Prior knowledge of and familiarity with the eight dimensions of HEInnovate is preferable. By the end of the training session participants will be able to:

• Discuss the main challenges HEIs are facing and understand the concepts and the main characteristics of an entrepreneurial and innovative institution
• Understand the role HEInnovate can play in developing their institutions’ innovative and entrepreneurial potential 
• Be confident in using the self-assessment, including the group functionality, and the supporting materials available in a way that is tailored to their needs
• Understand the importance of action planning as a way to create opportunities for change, and how HEInnovate can support institutions to move from ideas to action

The training is run by experienced HEInnovate facilitators and offers the possibility of international networking through group working sessions during the two days.
